The aspect of EDO tuning systems is really only one fascinating component of the soundworld Brendan makes here. From beginning to end, he manages to either advance or joyfully subvert pretty much every cool direction guitar-based writing has taken over the past 20 years. There is a new direction offered on every cut here and the production and mastering are absolutely exquisite throughout. Truly inspiring! Favorite track: Chromawaves.

To me it feels like this album fits comfortably within an existing genre in a way that other xenharmonic music does not. The unusual intervals sit in comfortably with the distortion and create a nice amount of dissonance. This makes the dynamics of tension and release extra satisfying. Hard Body Krang
